☆夏休み企画「Funglishイベント」を開催しました！

今回のイベントには市内の小学校4〜6年生が参加し、フィリピンの小学生たちとオンラインでの国際交流に挑戦しました。子どもたちは日本の文化を紹介するため、事前に絵を描いたり折り紙を作成したりと心を込めて準備を進めてきました。本番では緊張しながらもカメラの前に立ち、練習してきた英語を使って自分の言葉で堂々と発表することができました。自分たちの英語が相手に伝わった瞬間の喜びと達成感から、会場はたくさんの弾けるような笑顔で包まれました！
Summer Vacation Funglish Event!

Elementary school students in 4th through 6th grade joined our summer "Funglish" event to participate in an exciting online exchange with students in the Philippines.

To share Japanese culture with their new friends, the students carefully prepared drawings and origami crafts. On the day of the event, they confidently stepped in front of the camera and presented their work in English.

Seeing that their English was understood was a joyful experience, leaving everyone with bright, glowing smiles!

子育て健康プラザにて夏休みのFunglishワークショップが開かれました。市内の１年生から３年生の児童が集まり、12名のALTの先生達と一緒に歌を歌ったり、絵本を読んだり、ゲームをしたり、ペアを見つけて英会話を練習したりと、盛りだくさんの内容でした。児童達のはじける笑顔が見られました。

Summer Funglish Workshop Highlights!
The Summer Funglish Workshop was held at the Childcare and Health Plaza!

Elementary students from 1st to 3rd grade across the city gathered for a fun-filled day of English learning. Together with 12 ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) teachers, the children enjoyed a rich variety of activities, including singing songs, reading picture books, playing interactive games, and practicing English conversations with partners.

The venue was filled with the radiant smiles and high energy of the children as they experienced the joy of communicating in English!

５年生は今まで学習したフレーズを使ってトークショーごっこをしました。

Our Grade 5 students presented their Talk Show in English! They shared their birthdays and talked about what they would like for their birthdays. Everyone did their best to follow our presentation points—eye contact, clear voice, gestures, and reactions. Most importantly, they showed confidence, teamwork, and how much they enjoyed the activity. Great job, Grade 5!

4年生は天気の学習をしたあとにボードゲームを楽しみました♪

Learning about the weather has never been this fun! The 4th graders enjoyed a weather board game in the new Funglish room. Students practiced asking and answering, “How’s the weather?” using expressions such as “It’s sunny,” “windy,” “snowy,” “rainy,” and “stormy” while having fun with their classmates.
