R7 Funglish

お昼休み、熱中症危険アラートが出て児童は外で遊べませんでしたが、代わりにエアコンの効いた涼しいFunglish roomで映画の日を楽しみました♪なんと50人以上の児童が集まりました！！英語で映画を観て、面白いシーンでは笑い声が上がっていました。

This is week 3 of giving students a movie theater experience in the Funglish room. With about 50 students joining us. They enjoy the movie because they keep coming back to the Funglish room every Friday to finish the movie. As a cinema giveaway, students received stickers at the end of the movie, with some students promising that they will come back next Friday.

At the Funglish Cafe, the 2nd graders were excited to play the Time Bomb Game with the theme fruits! Everyone sat in a big circle with a soft, squishy stuffed toy. This toy was the “bomb”! When the timer started, the students passed the toy around and said a fruit word like “apple,” “banana,” or “cherry.” They tried to pass it quickly before the timer stopped. Everyone laughed and had fun while waiting to see who would be holding the toy when… BOOM! The timer went off! The student holding the toy had to move to another team. It was a fun and silly way to learn fruit words and make new friends!  

5年生の授業では”トークショーをしよう！”というテーマで班ごとに番組を企画してくれました。コミュニケーションポイントに気を付けながら誕生日や欲しい物についてインタビューが出来ました。発表の時に緊張して話せないお友達の手助けをしてくれる児童がたくさんいて感動しました。ありがとう！！

The 5th graders had the chance to shine with their talk show presentations about their birthdays. Teachers were impressed by the effort the students put into using the communications points they learned and saying the right answers on the questions of the hosts. Some of the students were especially kind and supportive, helping classmates who felt shy or needed a bit of assistance during the talk show. We are looking forward to seeing these bright students shine more in their next presentations. 

6/1（日）富岡市国際交流まつりでは、富小生達がフィリピンのブースでボランティアをしてくれました。ALTの先生たちはとても助かっていました。Thank you!!

ブースに来てくれたお客さんに、外国語の授業で学習したフレーズを使って丁寧に説明をしてくれました。自ら英語を話そうとする姿が素晴らしかったです。

市長さんも遊びに来てくださいました！！ありがとうございました。

毎週金曜日の給食の時間にALTの先生達が英語放送をしています。今週からスペシャルweekということで放送ブースに校長先生が来てくれました。サプライズだったので教室から驚きの声があがっていました。
